B Company send out patrols out to perimeter for LP, and bomb damage assessment (BDA). 1^st Plt and “nd Plt, patrol clockwise , leaving LZ from East and West .Mortars set up to cover berm.

Balance of A Company (6 Huey's) insert to LZ MASON

Find trail East to West 210 732 North of LZ continues West 200 739. 2^nd Plt contact enemy squad sized unit, exchange fire, enemy flee… 2^nd plt suffer 3WIA all light, Loose contact with enemy

326^th Engrs - to continue FSB Lee construction – advise on insertion of Artillery Batteries and Support Units

Commenced work on FAB Stonewall, Rome ploughs clearing area and fields of fire

 Enemy troops spotted outside perimeter and fleeing in to forest. Shortly followed by a rocket attack of 6 rockets hitting in area. Suffer 5 WIA, only light injuries
